Shaastra - 2008

GREedge.com, participated @ Shaastra – 2008 an ISO certified technology festival of IIT – Madras totally organized by the students of the institute. To participate as a sponsor in an event of this magnitude requires a lot of planning and effort, and we at GREEDGE feel proud to have accomplished this successfully especially this year as it coincided with the “golden jubilee celebrations” of IIT-Madras.

In sync with our motto of providing uniquely memorable, enjoyable, desirable and high quality learning experiences GREedge organized a poster design contest where participants had to submit a design or blueprint of their concept of some aspect of a futuristic device or system that delivers personalized learning. The response from the students willing to participate in the contest was simply overwhelming and our distinguished panel of judges spent well over half a day before they could choose the winning entry. Rakesh, a first year B.Tech aeronautics student from IIT Madras was adjudged the winner and was awarded a laptop, along with an opportunity to undergo an internship at our company “Valued Epistemics Pvt Ltd”. Eight other entries which the judges felt was equally enterprising were also awarded consolation prizes.

We had also organized an event called “gift rain for the best brain”, with our volunteers spread all over the campus, quizzing the students and giving away great gifts. This created plenty of excitement, awareness and a lot of curiosity. Shaastra provided an excellent, trusted platform for the students to experience learning the GREEDGE way (appreciate learning the greedge way). The response was so overwhelming that we gave close to thousand product demos thus enabling them to experience our product, first hand.
